Fintown Railway
The Fintown Railway offers visitors a unique 5km return journey along the shores of Loch Finn in Co. Donegal. The railway was first built in 1895 and following a successful restoration project the railway reopened on its centenary in June 1995.
The only railway currently operating in Co. Donegal, the journey takes passengers on through beautiful highland scenery overlooking Lough Finn.
The Fintown narrow gauge railway allows visitors to relive the days when Donegal had about 200 miles of narrow gauge railway, operated by the County Donegal, Londonderry and Lough Swilly Railway Companies, it is a wonderful activity for young and old in an area of exceptional scenic beauty.
