The Model
The Model is one of Ireland’s leading contemporary arts centres. It is home of The Niland Collection and houses one of the countries most important public art collections including work from artists such as Jack B. Yeats. It is also home to an internationally acclaimed visual arts programme, an excellent cafe in its beautiful atrium, an eclectic music and film programme along with a renowned educational programme. The building dates from 1862, when it was used as a Model School, but has been extended twice in recent years to expand on the facilities on offer at The Model.
