Sligo Choral Fest

The Sligo Choral Fest is an annual festival which brings the best choirs from all over Ireland and abroad to Sligo to celebrate choir music and to compete in competitions.
There is a wide variety of categories of choir - male, female, mixed, large and small, youth with a range of music from religious to barbershop. Competitions are hotly contested and there is always wonderful singing to be enjoyed. Along with the competitions there are also workshops and master classes for both adult and youth choirs.

The opening night sees a grand concert along with a festival club which runs each night. On a selected day during the festival, choirs take to the streets, pubs and shopping centres of Sligo to entertain the crowds. On Sunday of the festival choirs take part in singing at services in every church in the town.
