Rossinver
Rossinver is located in an area were there are some spectacular walks, most notably the 1.5km river walk to Fowley's Falls on the Glenaniff River which follows a series of waterfalls. Rossinver is also home to The Organic Centre, which is Ireland's leading centre for education and information on organic farming and gardening and is the main attraction of the village. Also worth visting is the MacClancy Castle ruins on Lough Melvin where survivors of shipwrecked sailors from the Spanish Armada took refuge in 1588. There is a plaque at the lakeside. At the southern end of Lough Melvin you'll find the ruins of a church founded by St. Mogue (Mo Aodh Og in Gaelic). Though originally built in the 6th century, the architectural style of the east window curiously denotes a 13th century building. Inside the gate of the cemetery there is an interesting stone which marks a grave that has survived from pre-Norman times.
