Drumshanbo
Drumshanbo, at the foothills of Slieve Anierin and Arigna Mountains is a pleasant little town, situated at the southern end of Lough Allen, is a fine angling resort. A heritage centre in the market house reflects the area's special links with narrow-gauge steam trains, coal-mining, and also features local folklore. A notable feature of the town is its unique High Street with a magnificent cut stone wall with stone steps leading to what is reputedly known as Ireland's shortest Main Street.
