Redhills
Redhills village is famous for being the location for the films "The Playboys" and "The Run of the Country" and many of the bars in area show photographs of the filming of the movies. Shane Connaughton, the author of "A Border Station" and writer of the acclaimed screenplay for "My Left Foot", also has strong connections with the town.
Redhills is also an up and coming angling destination with several coarse fishing lakes and rivers. Clonandra Cottages, on 25 acres on the banks of Lough Garra on the outskirts of Redhills, provides ideally located self-catering accommodation for anglers and other visitors to the village..
